The City Government of Tanauan, through General Fund intends to apply the sum of Thirty-Five Million Pesos (P35,000,000.00) only being the Approved Budget for the Contract (ABC) to payments under the contract for the “Construction of Bridge and Other Related Structures at Brgy. Malaking Pulo-Altura South through Design & Build Scheme”. Bids received in excess of the ABC shall be automatically rejected at bid opening.
The City Government of Tanauan now invites bid for the “Construction of Bridge and Other Related Structures at Brgy. Malaking Pulo-Altura South through Design & Build Scheme”. Completion of work is required within three hundred (300) calendar days. The Prospective Bidders must have an experience of having completed at least one (1) contract that is similar to the contract to be bid, and must be at least fifty percent (50%) of the ABC to be bid. The description of an eligible bidder is contained in the Bidding Documents, particularly, in Section II. Instruction to Bidders. Bids received in excess of the ABC shall be automatically rejected at bid opening
Bidding will be conducted through open competitive bidding procedures using non-discretionary pass/ fail criterion as specified in the Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) of Republic Act 9184 (RA 9184), otherwise known as the "Government Procurement Reform Act". Bid Evaluation and procedure shall follow a two-step procedure in accordance with the guidelines stated in Annex ”G” of RA 9184 and its Implementing Rules and Regulations.
Bidding is restricted to Filipino citizens/sole proprietorships, partnerships, or organizations with at least seventy five (75%) interest or outstanding capital stock belonging to citizens of the Philippines.
Interested bidders may obtain further information from the Bids and Awards Committee Secretariat and inspect the bidding documents at the address given below from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.

A complete set of bidding documents may be purchased by interested bidders during office hours from the address above and upon payment of a non-refundable fee for the bidding documents in the amount of TWENTY-FIVE THOUSAND PESOS (PHP. 25,000.00).
The Tanauan City Bids and Awards Committee will hold a Pre-Bid Conference on October 20,2026/ 10:00 a.m. at the BAC Conference Room 3F New City Hall Building, Tanauan City, Batangas, which shall be open to all interested parties.
Bids consisting of the First Envelope (Technical Proposal) and Second Envelope (Financial Proposal) must be delivered to the address below on or before 10:00 a.m. of November 19,2026. The First Envelope containing the (Technical Proposal) of the bidders who submitted their bids will be opened on November 19,2026, 10:00 a.m. in the presence of Bidder’s representatives who choose to attend at the BAC Conference Room 3F New City Hall Building, Tanauan City, Batangas.
Only those bids that passed in the evaluation of the technical proposal shall be subjected to the second step of evaluation. The BAC shall open the Second Envelope (Financial Proposal) of each” passed” bidder on November 27,2026, 10:00 A.M., BAC Conference Room 3F New City Hall Building, Tanauan City, Batangas,, and shall evaluate it using a non- discretionary criteria in accordance with the Guidelines specified in Annex”G” of the IRR of RA 9184.
In case any of the above dates shall fall on a non-working public holiday or is declared as such, the activity scheduled thereon shall be held on the next working day. The same rule shall apply if, for any reason, work in government office is suspended on any of the above dates.
